Kathmandu – Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi, who represented cooperative victims in the case against Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane, was reportedly assaulted within the premises of the Kathmandu District Court.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that the incident occurred after Tripathi stepped outside the courtroom following the conclusion of detention-related arguments. The court is currently deliberating whether Lamichhane will be detained or released on bail.
Advocate Tripathi had been actively arguing against Lamichhane in both the Pokhara and Kathmandu courts. The attack took place as Lamichhane's supporters, gathered outside the court, clashed with the opposing party’s legal representatives.
Police intervened swiftly to control the situation and relocated Advocate Tripathi to a safe location. Meanwhile, tensions remain high around the court as Lamichhane’s supporters continue their demonstrations.
