Kathmandu - On Wednesday afternoon, the police apprehended Sanjib Rizal and Sanjib Pradhan, both 25 years old and residents of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-5, in Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality-6, Sunsari. The individuals were found in possession of 1 gram and 500 milligrams of illicit brown heroin.

The arrests were made by a joint operation involving officers from the Narcotics Control Bureau Biratnagar and the local police office Laukhi. The suspects were intercepted while riding a motorcycle with the license plate number 1-02-053 P 7617, which was traveling from India into Nepal.

In a separate incident, Ramsharan Sapkota, a 42-year-old resident of Sundarbazar Municipality-7 Chhabise toll in Lamjung, was apprehended on Wednesday night for possession of 4 kg 350 grams of marijuana. The police, acting on a tip, conducted a search of Sapkota's residence and discovered the illicit substance.

Furthermore, Deepak Baiju, a 31-year-old resident of Makwanpur Hetaunda Sub-Metropolitan-19, was arrested on Thursday morning in Bara, Jitpursimra Sub-Metropolitan-21. Baiju was found in possession of 5 kg and 400 grams of marijuana while traveling on bus number 7 B 7132 from Banepa to Parsa Thori. The arrest was made by officers from the Amlekhganj area police station.

The police are actively investigating all of these cases to gather further evidence and identify any potential accomplices.
